About The Position
The Staff Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff and helps manage, oversee, and operate all aspects of the pharmacy. The role is accountable for patient safety, professional pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel and inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management. The Staff Pharmacist helps keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs. The role calls for empathy and compassion, developing and motivating support staff, identifying business opportunities and implementing solutions, adapting to change, collaborating to improve outcomes, building team commitment, and contributing to a caring, energetic, and enthusiastic team culture. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours.
Requirements
- Active pharmacy license in the state of employment.
- Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- Immunization certification through an accredited organization, such as APhA.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree.
Responsibilities
- Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing Pharmacy Technician Support Staff.
- Support management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy, including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory management, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow management.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs to support healthy outcomes for customers and patients.
- Motivate, inspire, and develop Pharmacy Support Staff by assigning work to maximize strengths, support development, and reduce knowledge gaps.
- Identify business opportunities and contribute to solutions that drive growth and improve pharmacy performance.
- Lead the team in implementing solutions and achieving specified goals.
- Adapt plans to changes in a dynamic community healthcare setting.
- Collaborate with others to deliver better outcomes and align colleagues around shared purpose.
- Contribute to a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
