Staff Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Inpatient Float Pool

About The Position

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking a Staff Nurse to join its Inpatient Float Pool. The position is 0.75 FTE, working five 12-hour shifts per pay period on nights and every third weekend. The nurse primarily supports critical care units, including MICU, SICU, and Burn, as well as intermediate care units, and may also float to medical/surgical units as needed. Within the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care. The role focuses on protecting, promoting, and optimizing health; preventing illness and injury; alleviating suffering through treatment of human responses; partnering with patients, families, and significant others; and documenting interventions and individualized plans of care. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible external candidates. Current employees, contract or temporary workers, and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible.

Requirements

Three years of inpatient hospital RN experience or one year of acute intermediate care RN experience.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
A valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Minnesota.

Nice To Haves

One year of ICU RN experience.
Certification in an area of clinical specialty.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); a bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly encouraged.
