The Staff Nurse position is at The Barclay House of Baton Rouge. The nurse provides resident care and medication administration within the scope of applicable board and state regulations for assisted living, supports residents’ memory and performance improvement programs, and serves as charge nurse for personal assistants on shift under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team. The role requires independent work with minimal direct supervision as well as collaboration with a team. Requirements

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state.
Current CPR certification.
A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
Team-player attitude and a positive attitude.
Dependability and willingness to work.
Flexibility and readiness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Assisted living or long-term care experience.
Current First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide medical treatment and administer medication according to physician orders and within the scope of applicable board and state regulations for assisted living.
Provide care and service to residents while remaining flexible and adapting to change.
Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
Work independently with minimal direct supervision and collaboratively with a team to make decisions, organize and prioritize tasks, document clearly, and follow through on assignments.
Serve as charge nurse on shift for personal assistants under the direction of the Wellness Leadership team.
