Advanced Programs - Staff Engineer Hot Structures Mechanical Design

GE Aerospace•Lynn, MA
•$149,500 - $198,950•Onsite

About The Position

The Staff Engineer will lead mechanical design and development of hot structures components for Lynn Advanced Programs, an organization focused on inventing the future of flight and advancing propulsion capability for next-generation military applications. The role covers design, analysis, and testing across new, derivative, and existing engines, and involves solving technical problems while balancing project requirements. The engineer will use engineering experience and collaborate with teammates, technical experts, peers in adjacent organizations, and customers to assess design tradeoffs, solve problems, recommend solutions, and achieve project outcomes. The position also provides technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers. Work is based at GE Aerospace’s Lynn manufacturing site, which designs, produces, assembles, and tests military and commercial aircraft engines and components. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information and successful candidates must meet the specified U.S. Person status requirements. It also requires obtaining and maintaining a U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite for that clearance. Relocation assistance is provided.
