About The Position

The Staff Development Coordinator develops and implements job skills training, in-service education required by regulations, and employee health monitoring for nursing department employees. The role regularly checks CNA skill performance, positive regard for residents, and direct care staff development needs. It provides immediate one-on-one instruction when necessary and trains new staff in deficient skill areas before they perform those tasks with residents. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation. The role is based at Signature HealthCARE at Colonial Rehab & Wellness Center, a 69-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. Requirements

Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
At least three years of clinical experience in a health care setting; long-term care experience preferred.
Current, active CPR certification.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines that apply to long-term care.
Must work on-call rotation.
