About The Position

The SRM Beveler Operator is responsible for setting up and operating beveling machinery to ensure pipe bevels meet quality requirements. This role involves monitoring machine operations, performing maintenance, and ensuring a safe and clean working environment. The operator will also communicate production details, identify and correct malfunctions, and may serve as a backup for other positions like the Hydrotester or Pre-Visual Check Operator.

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools and hand-held measurement devices.
Employee must be able to work with a flexible schedule which may require over-time and weekends when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Experience with operating automated equipment preferred.
Knowledge of SRM manufacturing processes, procedures for at least one year is a plus.

Responsibilities

Responsible for beveling machine set-up during size changeovers.
Ensure the bevels conform to the quality requirement on the work order.
Ensure that no pipe with inside scarf goes to the next operation.
Communicating the product details and unfinished duties whenever there is a change of operator.
Read work orders to determine production specifications and information.
Serves as a back-up for the Hydrotester, Pre-Visual Check Operator when necessary.
Maintain a good machinery condition by observing machine operations; detecting machinery malfunctions and make required corrections.
Responsible to clean and service all the equipment during scheduled maintenance and downtime.
Communicate to Supervisor and Engineer when necessary.
Communicating and working together with the work station operators.
Reject non-conforming products and readjust equipment to correct problems.
Follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
Follow the 5S implementation procedure.
Communicate to Supervisor and Engineer any problems with material and equipment.
