About The Position

The Sr. Technical Trainer develops, delivers, and strengthens technical workforce capability within Manufacturing. The role partners with Manufacturing leadership, Technical Leads, subject-matter experts (SMEs), Engineering, Quality, and SIG Training to address technical skill needs and support the use of Technical Leads as the primary source of on-the-job training (OJT). The trainer uses approved Manufacturing documentation as the technical foundation for training, collaborates with SIG Training on standardized supplemental learning materials, and evaluates training effectiveness, competency, OJT consistency, and continuous-improvement opportunities. Training approaches should limit unnecessary time away from production and provide suitable access across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Travel may be required. Working conditions include prolonged desk and computer work, repetitive keyboard and mouse tasks, occasional reaching, bending, twisting, and moving files, lifting up to 25 pounds, and wearing required PPE. The employee must comply with work-exposure EH&S training requirements and SIG SAUER security mandates.
