About The Position

Broadway Ventures is looking for an ambitious and reliable Strategic Talent Recruiter to join our Proposal/Business Development team. Our ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and provides excellent service to both potential hires and our client employers. Proficiency in social media, online job boards, and search engines is required. You must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated to ensure you meet deadlines and prepare accurate status reports for your supervisor. While you actively seek qualified talent to fill the positions our clients need, you must maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Broadway Ventures is a HUBZone certified small business, and this role includes building candidate pipelines in HUBZone communities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years recruiting engineers for aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing, process, quality, test, and industrial engineers, plus electrical and mechanical engineers in a production environment.
  • Experience recruiting for multiple plant locations at once
  • Experience working with hiring managers remotely
  • Knows how to read local pay and competition for each market.
  • Experience working with contract labor or staff augmentation for a defense prime.
  • Understands how requirements flow through a vendor management system (Fieldglass, Beeline, or similar), how to format a submittal to the prime's template, and that speed to submit wins.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR and US person requirements, and of the Secret clearance process, including what "clearable" means and how to screen for it.
  • Comfortable negotiating pay rates inside a prime's bill rate card and explaining the spread to a candidate.
  • Experience managing a junior recruiter or sourcer.
  • BS/MS in Human Resources Management or related field (equivalent experience may substitute education requirement)
  • Proficiency in computer programs like Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Some travel required

Nice To Haves

  • Screened/hired/placed engineers at a missile, munitions, radar, or electronics production site.
  • Knows at least one of these markets well: Dallas-Fort Worth defense and aerospace, Tucson, or Mississippi and the Gulf Coast (automotive and aerospace plants, shipbuilding, Stennis, the Huntsville corridor).
  • Experience recruiting transitioning military with a technical or manufacturing background.
  • At least three years of experience in recruitment
  • At least two years of experience working with proposal and business development teams
  • Experience with various candidate selection processes
  • Knowledgeable in the utilization of social media, blogs, job sites, and other resources to find qualified candidates

Responsibilities

  • Consult with corporate leadership and proposal team on the qualifications needed for each position.
  • Utilize RFP/RFQ documents to develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
  • Search job boards and social media outlets for qualified candidates
  • Screen and interview candidates
  • Obtain Letter of Intent (LOC) for qualified candidates
  • Coordinate with BD/Capture team to review and select qualified candidates
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and other businesses
