About The Position

The Senior Systems Analyst – Epic MyChart develops Epic application solutions by investigating processes and understanding data and communications flow, including individual tasks and transactions within an Integrated Delivery System. The role translates user needs into system requirements, evaluates solutions, supports implementation and upgrades, and analyzes system configuration and problems.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Nine years of experience in hospital information systems selection, implementation, and support.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another related field.
Epic certification in MyChart; MyChart Web Experience is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree may substitute for four years of work experience; a master’s degree may substitute for two years of work experience.
Direct work experience at Epic Systems Corporation is counted at a premium, with each year counted as two years of experience.
Up to two years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two years of information systems experience on a month-to-month basis.

Responsibilities

Translate users’ needs into detailed requirements and specifications.
Identify system and application needs.
Analyze current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes.
Document current-state and future-state business processes.
Perform vendor analyses and make recommendations.
Investigate alternative solutions and conduct feasibility studies using vendor analysis and evaluation results.
Facilitate and support system installation throughout the implementation cycle.
Perform configuration analyses to support system design.
Analyze system problems and recommend modifications.
Coordinate system implementations and upgrades.
Participate in committee meetings as an information resource.
