Sr. ServiceNow Developer
About The Position
Dhaka Technologies Limited Company (DTLC) is hiring a Sr. ServiceNow Developer on behalf of DC Public Schools (DCPS). The role supports development, administration, and ongoing enhancement of the district’s ServiceNow platform within the Office of Data & Technology. The developer will configure, maintain, and evolve ServiceNow across district-wide business processes and modules, including Source-to-Pay (S2P), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), IT Service Management (ITSM), and IT Asset Management (ITAM). The position works with technical and non-technical stakeholders across a large public-sector organization to deliver scalable, user-centered, secure solutions aligned with operational priorities and continuous improvement of service delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow administration experience, including ownership or co-ownership of a ServiceNow instance.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow forms, lists, tables, and dictionary configuration; Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and UI Actions; roles and Access Control Lists (ACLs); update sets; and platform administration.
- Proficiency in JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting, including business rules, client scripts, and UI policies.
- Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent ITSM process knowledge.
- The requirements section also lists: 15 years for the degree/equivalent-professional-experience qualification; 10 years of ServiceNow administration and JavaScript experience; 8 years of platform configuration knowledge, REST/SOAP integrations, experience with a ServiceNow application area, integrations using REST APIs/Integration Hub/data imports, and public-sector, K-12, education, or other regulated-environment experience.

- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- Experience with ServiceNow application areas such as ITSM, HRSD, S2P, CSM, or SecOps.
- Experience building or supporting system integrations using REST APIs, Integration Hub, and data imports.
- Experience working in a public-sector, K-12, education, or other highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary administrator for the DCPS ServiceNow instance, supporting day-to-day service operations and maintenance.
- Configure and maintain ServiceNow applications, including forms, lists, workflows and flows, notifications, and reporting.
- Support development and enhancement activities across ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, HRSD, S2P, and other available modules.
- Design and maintain Service Catalog items and end-to-end workflows using Flow Designer, approvals, task routing, and notifications.
- Gather requirements with business stakeholders, translate business needs into technical solutions, and recommend platform-aligned approaches.
- Coordinate with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) on development, changes, and support.
- Follow ServiceNow best practices, prioritize configuration over customization, and maintain upgrade readiness.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, resolve defects, and improve existing processes through analysis and refinement.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration details, process flows, and user guidance.
- Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and ServiceNow partners as appropriate.
