About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a passionate, goal-driven Sr. Sales Associate to help customers explore their musical interests and find the instruments and equipment that suit them. The role combines customer service, sales, product knowledge, relationship building, merchandising, store operations, and leadership support. The associate helps create a welcoming store environment, works toward sales targets, and supports fellow team members through guidance and mentoring. As a keyholding member of the store, the associate may be called upon to open or close the store as needed. The position requires flexibility to work additional hours and nights or weekends as needed.

Requirements

• A proven track record in sales and success exceeding targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel inspired to explore their musical passions.
• Help customers find instruments and gear that meet their needs.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling relevant instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of products, including instruments and recording equipment, and help improve colleagues’ product knowledge.
• Build strong customer relationships and help fellow associates foster relationships within the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
