About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a music enthusiast with sales ability and leadership skills to join its retail team as a Senior Sales Associate. The role focuses on helping customers explore their musical interests and find suitable instruments, equipment, and accessories, while contributing to sales goals and a welcoming store experience.

The associate maintains strong product knowledge, builds customer relationships, supports and mentors fellow associates, and helps maintain store displays and operations. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open or close the store as needed. The role requires flexibility to work additional hours and nights or weekends as needed.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find instruments and equipment suited to their musical interests.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve colleagues’ product knowledge.
• Build strong customer relationships and help fellow associates develop relationships in the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them during customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
