About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate who is passionate about music, customer service, sales, and team leadership. The role helps customers explore their musical interests and find instruments and equipment that suit their needs, while contributing to store sales goals and a welcoming, vibrant retail environment.

The Senior Sales Associate maintains strong product knowledge and customer relationships, supports the development of fellow associates, and helps keep the store organized and well merchandised. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open and close the store as needed. The position requires flexibility to work additional hours and nights or weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• A proven track record in sales and the ability to exceed targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers explore their musical interests and find appropriate gear.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including instruments and recording equipment, and help improve other associates’ product knowledge.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and help associates foster relationships with customers and the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them during customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
