About The Position
Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by shipping and receiving stock and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great store experience. The role contributes to Guitar Center’s mission of nurturing lifelong musicians and creating an inclusive, customer-first environment. Successful associates demonstrate collaboration, customer focus, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs. They work effectively in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment while protecting people and assets by following protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to inventory control.
- Ship and receive gear and other items.
- Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
- Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
- Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
- Handle cash.
- Maintain awareness of and help control shrink.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
