About The Position

Guitar Center’s Retail Operations Associate supports store operations by handling shipments and inventory, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great in-store experience. The role calls for collaboration, customer focus, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems in a fast-paced environment. The position is part-time and located at Store 753 in Huntsville, Alabama.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships.
Customer-service focus and ability to provide a positive customer experience.
Initiative and ability to identify opportunities or issues, learn quickly, and take action.
Organizational skills, including managing priorities, multitasking, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
