About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a passionate, goal-driven Senior Sales Associate to create a welcoming and engaging in-store experience for customers exploring musical instruments and equipment. The role combines customer service, sales, product expertise, relationship-building, merchandising, and store operations with peer guidance and leadership. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open and close the store as needed. The position requires flexibility to work additional hours and nights or weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Proven sales track record and ability to exceed sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers find gear suited to their musical interests and needs.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products and help improve product knowledge among other associates.
• Build customer relationships and help associates develop relationships within the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
