About The Position

The Sr. Production Team Lead directs daily third-shift operations and serves as second-in-command to the Production Supervisor. The role leads team members in meeting safety, quality, production, and efficiency expectations. In the Supervisor’s absence, the Team Lead manages the shift, makes operational decisions, addresses employee concerns, coordinates resources, and supports continuity of operations. This role is suited to a proactive, positive, engaging leader who takes initiative, builds relationships, holds people accountable, leads by example, and wants to develop into a future supervisory role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and train employees, including cross-training on SOPs, safety, and quality.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to resolve conflict and manage competing priorities.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to work third shift with consistent attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or leadership training.
• Plastic injection molding experience.
• Prior Team Lead or informal leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production to meet schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor staffing, downtime, scrap, and efficiency; resolve or escalate issues; and partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Materials.
• Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to team members, recognize strong performance, address attendance, performance, and conduct concerns, and support onboarding and cross-training.
• Promote a strong safety culture, enforce SOPs and quality standards, and engage employees in reducing waste and downtime.
• Assist with production reporting, shift documentation, attendance tracking, shift handoffs, and production meetings.
• Manage the shift, make operational decisions, address employee concerns, and coordinate resources in the Production Supervisor’s absence.
