About The Position

Fiserv is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own Clover’s Kitchen Display System (KDS), a mission-critical product that powers restaurant operations. The role leads product strategy, user experience, and technical infrastructure for coordinating high-volume kitchen operations in real time. It combines knowledge of physical kitchen ergonomics with distributed software, working closely with engineering, UX, operations, and merchant-facing teams to improve back-of-house speed, coordination, and efficiency. The product manager will shape kitchen routing and orchestration, translate complex kitchen workflows into intuitive interfaces, and develop a merchant-first roadmap to reduce ticket times, food waste, and operating costs. The role also partners with engineering on resilient data and hardware foundations, advances future kitchen intelligence capabilities, and coordinates delivery across cross-functional teams. Success is measured through operational benchmarks and analytics, with roadmap vision and outcomes communicated to leadership, partners, and merchant advisory boards. Candidates must currently have valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization. The stated salary range of $134,000 to $218,400 applies to employees in Sunnyvale, California; pay ranges in other states may differ. Incentive-eligible associates may receive an annual incentive opportunity, potentially in cash bonus and equity awards at the company’s discretion.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience, including dedicated experience in restaurant technology, POS, Kitchen Display Systems, or mission-critical real-time ordering systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of back-of-house restaurant operations, station routing, prep flows, expeditor handoffs, and dine-in, online, and third-party delivery order ingestion.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers on distributed real-time data systems, event-driven architectures, local network resilience, and hardware/software integration.
  • Experience designing interfaces for high-stress, glance-and-touch environments, including touchscreens, bump bars, auditory cues, or high-contrast displays.
  • Strong analytical ability to define throughput and operational metrics, evaluate trade-offs, and connect technical investments to merchant return on investment.
  • Ability to build alignment and communicate effectively with line cooks, general managers, executive leadership, and systems engineers.
  • Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization; candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future are not considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurant technology, retail technology, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with menu or catalog systems at scale, including multi-location, multilingual, or multicurrency systems.
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Own kitchen routing and orchestration, including real-time order routing, cook load balancing, and synchronization across prep, cook, and expo stations.
  • Translate physical kitchen workflows and staff decisions into intuitive, glanceable interfaces that improve throughput and line ergonomics.
  • Set a merchant-first, efficiency-driven product roadmap aligned with Clover’s broader growth objectives and focused on reducing ticket times, food waste, and operating costs.
  • Partner with engineering to design fault-tolerant architectures and flexible routing schemas for varied hardware setups, printer and screen pairings, and kitchen layouts.
  • Deliver current features while advancing future kitchen capabilities such as predictive cook pacing, dynamic prep-time adjustments, and automated order throttling during peak periods.
  • Work with engineering, UX, hardware, QA, sales, and customer support to ship resilient software for fast-paced restaurant shifts.
  • Establish operational benchmarks, including ticket completion time, bump-bar latency, order accuracy, and fulfillment rate, and use analytics to guide product iterations.
  • Communicate roadmap vision, technical trade-offs, and measurable business outcomes to leadership, cross-functional partners, and merchant advisory boards.

Benefits

  • Annual incentive opportunity for eligible associates, potentially delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards, at the company’s discretion.
