About The Position

Sauder is seeking a Senior National Accounts Manager for our Building Products team. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical customer accounts to increase sales and contribution margin. This includes designing and implementing sales strategies, presenting new products, and managing sales representatives assigned to national accounts. The senior role supports company-wide goals to boost retail omnichannel accounts sales volume and margins.

  • Participating in trade shows, sales meetings, and special events
  • Assisting in organizing dealer shows and sales meetings
  • Collaborating with Marketing to develop customer presentations, printed materials, and advertising
  • Working with internal departments such as IS, Logistics, Traffic, and Accounting to address customer needs
  • Responsible for annual Representative Agreement updates and forecasts for assigned accounts

Responsibilities

  • Develop mature and new distribution channels for domestic and imported products while balancing profitability, risk, and sales growth amidst competitive pressures
  • Direct sales representatives and customer accounts in product development, marketing plans, order processing, and sales planning.
  • Assist regional sales representatives with merchandising, advertising, and sales promotions using company resources.
  • May be responsible to handling an account directly as a “house account” without outside sales representatives.
  • Guide sales reps in helping dealers market, sell, and service products, parts, and accessories effectively.
  • Compile and evaluate sales rep and account performance statistics periodically, review evaluations, and recommend plans to meet targets.
  • Review pricing practices for compliance with agreements and business standards and assist in implementing programs to achieve sales goals.
  • Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, and special events, and assist in organizing dealer shows and sales meetings.
