Sr. Implementation Manager, MSP

CHG Healthcare•Midvale, UT
•$83,000 - $160,500

About The Position

The Sr. Implementation Manager, MSP is the operational owner of MSP client implementations after a contract is signed. The role combines client-facing implementation work, coordination of internal stakeholders and staffing vendors, and project management of specific client implementations to ensure successful delivery. The role serves as the client contact for gathering MSP and operational-workflow requirements and working with Health Care Organization stakeholders to execute those requirements. It is not an Account Management role and does not own the broader client relationship. Internally, the position functions as a program manager, directing stakeholders on implementation activities and holding them accountable to the project plan. Technology adoption is led by Locumsmart. The position is part of ECS Implementation and reports to the Manager, ECS Implementation Team. Travel is estimated at 25% or more, based on client needs and requests. Depending on MSP client volume, the role may not be full-time initially; Operational Strategy project work may supplement capacity. The role may provide brief post-go-live support before handing the client off to ECS Account Management, and may become involved again if the client agrees to additional services.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in program/project management, client implementation, or account management.
  • Prior client-facing experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading cross-functional initiatives to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing projects or programs, including specific delivery examples.
  • Basic contract literacy and ability to read and operationalize Master Services Agreements and Sub-Vendor Agreements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare staffing, locum tenens, or MSP/VMS operations; preferred over a general technical or SaaS project-management background.
  • Working familiarity with VMS or contingent workforce platforms, ideally Locumsmart.
  • Previous implementation and/or program experience.
  • Experience in healthcare staffing, VMS, or MSP environments.
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own MSP implementations end to end after a contract is verbally agreed upon, coordinating across CHG divisions and Locumsmart leadership through kickoff and ongoing delivery.
  • Partner with clients to create implementation project plans and ensure they are executed properly.
  • Report milestones and program progress to stakeholders and executive leadership; raise red flags when implementations are off track and identify wins to replicate.
  • Direct internal stakeholders on implementation activities and hold them accountable to the project plan.
  • Serve as the client point of contact for gathering MSP implementation requirements.
  • Outline the overall implementation process and gain client buy-in.
  • Travel as needed to support client implementations; travel is estimated at 25% or more based on client request and need.
  • Track, at a program-management level, Locumsmart vendor outreach to introduce the program and connect vendors with the MSP Account Management team.
  • Verify that the contracts team has executed Sub-Vendor Agreements with legacy and new staffing agencies for each MSP client, including the sub-vendor tiering strategy and dispute-resolution protocol for dual-agency provider conflicts.
  • Ensure the Account Management team has built the Job Requisition Approval Chain and Candidate Profile Auditing SOP for each client implementation, with support from the Program Team.
  • Verify that client data is appropriately stood up, transferred, and ready for go-live.
  • Work with the Locumsmart team at a program level to ensure technology adoption is driven.
  • Provide brief post-go-live client support as needed to ensure implementation quality and address adjustments, then complete the handoff to the ECS Account Management team.
