Sr. EV Installer
About The Position
Green Water and Power is seeking a skilled Senior Level EV Installer to install commercial electric vehicle (EV) charging stations under the guidance of a certified electrician. The role involves electrical wiring, conduit installation, wire pulling, charger mounting and programming, as well as mechanical and structural mounting of chargers and related equipment. The installer will help ensure job-site safety, coordinate materials, communicate project updates to on-site contacts, and manage, mentor, and train junior installers. This position offers an opportunity to develop toward becoming a certified electrician or construction manager. Travel to different job sites is required, and overnight stays may be necessary. Overtime and weekend work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, construction, or a related field.
- EVITP Certificate, with the goal of obtaining a certified electrician license.
- Knowledge of the NEC, particularly Article 690, as well as local electrical codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in electrical wiring, conductor deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
- Experience safely using hand-held power tools.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong dedication to safety and following safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work in diverse environments, including extreme temperatures and crawl spaces, and to adapt to changing project demands.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Install commercial electric vehicle charging stations under the guidance of certified electricians.
- Perform electrical wiring for EV charger systems, including AC and DC systems.
- Install and bend conduit, pull wires, mount chargers, and program EV charging stations.
- Handle mechanical and structural mounting of EV chargers and related electrical equipment.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order and ensure the project site complies with OSHA safety requirements.
- Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of materials to the job site.
- Provide on-site contacts with project status updates and maintain positive customer interactions.
- Manage, mentor, and train junior installers to keep them on task throughout the workday.
- Participate in company training sessions as required.
- Complete other assignments and special projects as requested by management.
