Sr. EP Mapping Specialist - CAS, Worcester, MA
About The Position
Medtronic is seeking an EP Mapping Specialist for its Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) team. The position provides clinical and technical support and training to physicians and healthcare staff on EP mapping and navigation systems, CAS products, and related procedures. The specialist promotes safe and effective product use, supports sales objectives, develops customer relationships, and collaborates with regional sales and clinical teams to identify opportunities and conduct training. The role may serve as a regional champion for mapping technology proficiency. This is a remote position, but the employee must reside within the assigned territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. The employee must be available for unscheduled needs within the territory and may occasionally travel outside it, including overnight. Various levels are available based on qualifications and experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma and at least 8 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation; or an associate degree and at least 6 years of related experience; or a bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of related experience.
- Must reside within the assigned territory and be available there each day for unscheduled needs.
- Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy; driving record will be reviewed.
- Ability to drive approximately 25–50% of the time within the assigned territory; occasional travel outside the territory, including overnight, may be required.
- Ability to move throughout a facility and use a phone, keyboard, mouse, and computer.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for 8 hours a day.
- Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, cardiovascular studies, life sciences, or a technical discipline, with at least four years of work experience in a cardiac field, hospital or clinic, or sales.
- Proven track record with technical training assignments.
- Experience in cardiac catheter ablation, an EP lab, a hospital or clinic, or EP medical sales providing technical or clinical support.
- Ability to travel more than 25% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and technical support and training to physicians and staff on the EP mapping and navigation system and CAS products.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters relating to CAS products and procedures.
- Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
- Support national, regional, and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals across CAS products.
- Develop and cultivate customer relationships that result in incremental business.
- Partner with Account Managers, Regional Managers, and Area Directors to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other Cardiac Ablation Solutions products.
- Collaborate and communicate with regional sales and clinical teams.
- Represent Medtronic CAS products, services, and support to physicians and support staff.
- Serve as a regional champion, sharing experience and influencing others to become proficient in mapping technology.
