Sr. Engineer, Cloud - CTIO (Hybrid)
About The Position
CrowdStrike is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to help build the next generation of technologies powering the company. The role joins a fast-moving team taking a blank-slate approach to scaling systems and using AI to help stop breaches. The engineer will define and implement significant components of the new cloud architecture, deliver low-latency and highly scalable services, and partner closely with desktop agent and AI teams. The position also contributes to hiring, design reviews, postmortems, and developing the team's technical skills. This is a hybrid role based in Redmond, Washington; Sunnyvale, California; Austin, Texas; New York City; or Toronto, with an expectation of working in the office at least two days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience building and operating high-volume, highly resilient Tier-1 cloud services and systems.
- Strong knowledge of Go, Java, or similar technologies.
- Ability to find simple, elegant solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to move quickly, handle ambiguity, and lead collaboration across teams.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas in writing and verbally.
- Experience driving technical decisions across groups and stakeholders.
- Strong sense of ownership in the work being built.
- Passion for developing teams through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.
- Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and implementation of significant components of the new cloud architecture in collaboration with senior technologists.
- Deliver low-latency, highly scalable services.
- Partner closely with the desktop agent and AI teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in hiring, design reviews, and postmortems.
