About The Position

BrandsMart USA is hiring a Senior Product Specialist for its computer department. The role focuses on welcoming customers, explaining and selling merchandise and service contracts, and providing a satisfying customer experience. The specialist supervises the Product Specialist Team in the assigned department, supports team members in closing sales, and uses price-swipe and override capabilities. The position also involves developing product and competitor knowledge, attending company- and manufacturer-sponsored training, maintaining displays and the selling area, and assisting with physical inventories and shopping reports. Duties include explaining service contracts accurately and adding them correctly to sales invoices. The role requires at least three years of prior retail experience, preferably in a customer-contact area. BrandsMart USA employees receive preference. The job may require fluency in another language when needed at a specific facility. Physical requirements include occasionally moving goods weighing up to 25 pounds and having sufficient manual dexterity to use computer terminals and other electronic equipment.

Requirements

At least three years of prior retail industry experience, preferably in a customer-contact area.
Education and experience equivalent to high school or college graduation, or another combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required qualifications.
Ability to read English, or another language required at a specific location, well enough to read invoices, repair orders, faxed requests, and similar materials.
Basic English writing skills for orders, requests, and other necessary correspondence.
Spoken fluency in English, or another language required at a specific location, sufficient to communicate with customers and understand their responses.
Basic math skills, including multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division, to verify merchandise amounts, costs, and quantities.
Ability to occasionally grasp, lift, or otherwise move goods weighing up to 25 pounds.
Sufficient manual dexterity in at least one hand to operate computer terminals and other electronic equipment and complete paperwork.
Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute with no errors.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail experience in a customer-contact area is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the Product Specialist Team in the assigned department.
Swipe and override prices as needed.
Assist Product Specialists in closing sales.
Greet customers.
Sell company merchandise in accordance with the current pricing policy.
Sell and accurately explain BrandsMart USA service contracts, ensuring they are correctly added to sales invoices.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including by attending company- and manufacturer-sponsored training.
Stay informed about competitors, their policies, price levels, and product assortments; complete assigned shopping reports as required by store management.
Take physical inventories as required.
Clean and maintain the selling area or counter using basic cleaning supplies.
Assist with changing, arranging, or straightening selling displays.
