About The Position

A Senior Associate Scientist (R2) position is available in the Upstream Process Development group within Pfizer’s Bioprocess R&D organization. The successful applicant will join a team developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for recombinant proteins and other modalities for early- and late-phase human clinical trials. The role involves designing and executing laboratory experiments using benchtop bioreactors and associated scale-down equipment to develop robust, scalable, high-productivity processes. The scientist will work with pilot, clinical, and commercial production facilities to support accurate technology transfer, successful large-scale production, and regulatory filing activities. The role may also involve technology-development projects using process analytical technologies to improve production processes and control strategies. The position is on premise. Occasional weekend work may be needed for essential tasks, and occasional travel may be required for internal meetings or external conferences. The annual base salary is $68,600 to $114,300, with eligibility for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan and a 7.5% bonus target.
