About The Position

As a Data Scientist on the Business Banking Deposit & Cash Management Product Analytics team, you provide data-driven insights to product managers supporting products that serve small business customers. You consult with business partners to understand their problems, develop a framework for data-driven solutions, conduct analysis, and review results. Your work helps the team understand customer behavior, identify opportunities, improve customer engagement, and increase operational efficiency.

The team supports Deposit products, including Checking, Savings, and CDs, and Cash Management products such as ACH, Remote Check Deposit, and Positive Pay. The role contributes to developing new banking products, modifying existing products, establishing appropriate controls, and benchmarking against third-party companies. You will partner with stakeholders to design, execute, and track strategic initiatives, translating complex analysis into clear business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative discipline, with a focus on data engineering, data warehousing, computer science, and/or data-driven analytics.
• Three years of experience in data science or quantitative analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills, including data transformation, discovery, validation, de-duplication, aggregation, edge-case identification, and data structure transformation.
• Experience working across multiple database platforms, including on-premises platforms such as Teradata or Oracle and cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Snowflake.
• Clear communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues concisely.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to writing code and documentation.
• Experience leveraging large language models to comment on, optimize, and debug code to improve development efficiency.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with banking products, including Deposit products (Checking, Savings, CDs) and Cash Management products (ACH, Remote Check Deposit, Positive Pay).

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with product managers and functional partners.
• Own the development and execution of analyses and reports end to end.
• Summarize data results in non-technical terms for business partners.
• Translate business questions into data-driven approaches.
• Deliver diagnostic deep dives, forecasting, and performance reporting that leaders can act on.
• Maintain a strong focus on sound controls and data quality.
• Support the development of new banking products, modification of existing products, establishment of controls, and third-party benchmarking.
