About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, competitive rates, and personalized load recommendations based on owner-operators’ preferences. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers, who each have more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Listed rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workday range is Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants must be owner-operators with their own vehicle.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinters must be model year 2016 or newer.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability is accepted; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• A Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC may affect the potential monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Provide and operate an owner-operator Sprinter or Cargo Van.

• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
• Meet vehicle equipment and decal requirements.
