About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can negotiate rates with dispatchers and receive load opportunities from dispatchers who have at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Loads are personalized according to the owner-operator’s preferences. The stated rates for Sprinters are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The posting states a minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English; Russian speakers are also hired.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Apply as an owner-operator entering a written independent contractor agreement; the company does not hire company drivers.

Responsibilities

Provide and operate an owned Sprinter or Cargo Van for accepted loads.
Coordinate load preferences with dispatchers and accept loads offered by the company.

Provide vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
