About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, competitive rates, and loads personalized to drivers’ preferences. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers, each of whom has more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated days range is Monday–Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
You and your drivers must be at least 21 years old.
You and your drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be no older than model year 2016.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

Russian-language ability is accommodated; Russian speakers are also hired.
Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC may affect the stated average monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Provide and operate a qualifying Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Complete registration and insurance submission for the vehicle.
Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
Inform the company before putting a vehicle on the road if changes have been made to it.
