About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is seeking Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators to work under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load selection based on owner-operator preferences, and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Sprinter rates are listed as $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas; Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated days range is Monday–Friday. The posting gives a minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC status. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English; Russian speakers are also hired.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinters must be model year 2016 or newer.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all vehicle decals.
• Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
• Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator; company-driver applications are not accepted.

Responsibilities
