About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers access to a large number of loads, personalized load offers based on drivers’ preferences, and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated work days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants must be owner-operators with their own vehicle.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
• All vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE, and all decals must be removed.
• Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Execute a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability is accommodated; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC credentials may affect potential monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Provide and operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van as an owner-operator.
• Complete company approval, acceptance, and registration before accepting loads from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER.
• Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
• Inform the company of vehicle changes before putting the vehicle on the road.
• Have at least four straps and PPE in the vehicle and remove all decals.
