About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Speech Language Pathologist to provide expert, patient-centered care in Lenoir, North Carolina, serving Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, and Alexander counties. The role provides one-to-one care to patients in their homes and includes evaluating speech and language difficulties, delivering therapy, educating patients and caregivers, and documenting clinical progress. The position is full-time, with a stated schedule of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The job posting advertises a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ speech and language difficulties and determine whether continued therapy services are needed.
Teach patients to make sounds and improve their voices.
Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises that support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
Document appropriate progress and clinical notes, including patients’ responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
