About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join a rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing facility in New York. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The Speech Language Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment for people with communication and swallowing disorders, develops individualized treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, documents patient progress, and educates patients and caregivers.

Requirements

• Current New York State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Graduate of a college or university accredited by the American Speech and Hearing Association with a degree in Speech Language Pathology.

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat individuals experiencing communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about communication strategies and assistive devices.
