About The Position

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Inpatient Rehab is seeking a Rehab Aide to support therapists and therapy assistants with patient care preparation and related duties. The role includes setting up and cleaning treatment areas and equipment, keeping the department clean and organized, preparing supplies, assisting with patient transport and comfort measures, and helping clinical and administrative staff as needed. The position is Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, and day shift. The salary range is $19.62–$29.44; the hiring rate depends on factors including education, training, work experience, applicable collective bargaining terms, and seniority. The role is based in the PHSW Acute Inpatient Rehab Department.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support credential required upon hire.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Keyboarding and computer skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and remain flexible in a fast-paced, changing work environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous training or experience in a patient care setting.

Responsibilities

Assist therapists and therapy assistants with patient-care-related duties, including providing a second-person assist.
Set up and clean patient treatment areas and equipment.
Transport patients for care and provide patient comfort measures.
Assist therapy support staff with reception and clerical duties as needed.
Participate in staff meetings, caregiver orientation, and other gatherings as requested by the Manager.
Keep treatment areas clean and supplies available; follow the department cleaning schedule and log completed activities.
Prepare the department in the morning for patient care and perform closing duties to keep it organized.
Perform inventory activities and work with the administrative specialist to order needed supplies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
