Speech Language Pathologist-Neuro-PRN
About The Position
Collage Home and Community Rehabilitation Partners is seeking experienced Speech Language Pathologists for PRN positions serving Long Beach, California, and surrounding areas. The organization provides neurological rehabilitation for people with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses in patients’ homes and communities. PRN clinicians may accept patients for the duration of their stay. Speech Language Pathologists work as part of interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated treatment plans and deliver individualized, evidence-based care in patients’ homes and communities. Treatment uses creative, functional activities to address patients’ goals and support durable outcomes. Patients may be served at any point on the continuum, from severe brain injury through job readiness.
Requirements
- Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
- State licensure.
- Certificate of clinical competence from ASHA.
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers.
Nice To Haves
- Experience treating neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat impairments across speech and language, executive functioning, cognitive needs, dysphagia, and augmentative communication needs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams that develop and implement integrated treatment plans in patients’ homes and communities.
- Provide individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation focused on functional goals.
