About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to provide patient-centered care in Columbus, Georgia, covering Harris and Muscogee Counties. The role is scheduled PRN for weekly visits and offers independent work with team support and flexible scheduling. The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates patients’ speech and language difficulties, provides therapy, teaches communication strategies, and documents patient progress and clinical responses according to agency policy. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- At least one year of work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Current, unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where practicing.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ speech or language difficulties and determine whether continued therapy services are needed.
- Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve their voices.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
- Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises that support progress outside direct therapy sessions.
- Document patient progress and clinical notes, including responses to therapy, and submit visit documentation according to agency policy.
