About The Position

This role is responsible for providing senior-level clerical, administrative, and project support to their assigned department(s). This position may serve as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituencies, often on complex and confidential issues. This position is expected to have a high level of department-specific knowledge.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Three (3) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree
  • At least one (1) year's working experience working in a college or university setting related to the Essential Performance Requirements
  • At least one (1) year’s working experience supporting academic operations, including faculty contracting, course scheduling, and related processes using enterprise resource planning systems such as Colleague
  • At least one (1) year’s working experience using Smartsheet and Microsoft Office 365 applications to manage projects, analyze data, and develop professional communications and reports

Responsibilities

  • Performs senior-level administrative and technical functions for the unit
  • Makes technical decisions by applying policies, regulations, and protocol
  • Organizes unit events
  • Manages external stakeholders
  • Performs high-level, unit-specific tasks
  • Assists with Budget and Grant Management
  • Schedules appointments and maintains calendars
  • Prepares and creates memos, emails, invoices, etc.
  • Performs assigned duties
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
  • Works under minimal supervision of assigned department leadership
  • Performs Other Related Tasks as Required
