About The Position

The Specialist – Apparel delivers an engaging, confidence-building shopping experience by connecting athletes with apparel for performance and everyday wear. The role combines product and merchandise expertise with strong customer service to support sales and help bring style, comfort, and performance together.

The Specialist helps ensure products are ready for purchase, store standards are maintained, and athletes receive knowledgeable assistance. As a subject matter expert in an area of the store, the Specialist also supports onboarding and training for team members and helps execute operational processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience.

• Previous retail or customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide an outstanding shopping experience.
• Provide clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Anticipate athlete needs and drive sales through product and service recommendations informed by an understanding of those needs.
• Assist with onboarding and training new and existing team members, focusing on best practices, selling skills, and operational processes.
• Serve as a go-to expert in designated process categories to support smooth execution and productivity.
• Execute processes efficiently while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensure products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Follow floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards to uphold merchandising and presentation standards.
• Promote customer participation in company programs, including the customer loyalty program, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.
• Help create a welcoming, respectful store environment for teammates and athletes.
• Follow safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures, as well as applicable external laws and guidelines.
