About The Position

BAYADA is urgently hiring Special Needs Caregivers in New Castle and surrounding areas. The role involves working one-on-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in home and community settings, serving as a companion and mentor and helping clients reach their full potential. Caregivers accompany clients on errands and appointments, participate in their favorite hobbies and activities, assist with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, and support community integration.

Requirements

• One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; paid training may be available for candidates without this experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Spend time with clients on their favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.
