About The Position
At BAYADA, our Special Needs Caregivers provide one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, and live more independently in the comfort of their own homes. This role involves turning experience into meaningful, relationship-centered work while providing support with daily routines, personal care, and community engagement.
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and locations
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to activities
- Willingness to travel between clients within your assigned area
Responsibilities
- Provide support with daily routines and personal care
- Help individuals build life skills and maintain independence
- Offer encouragement, consistency, and meaningful companionship
- Support engagement at home and within the community
