About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring part-time Special Needs Caregivers / DSPs in Concord, North Carolina. Caregivers work one-on-one in home and community settings as companions and mentors to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, supporting them in reaching their full potential. The role offers flexible scheduling across various shifts and locations, with efforts to match assignments within 30 minutes of the caregiver’s home. Pay starts at $15 per hour, with weekly pay. The position includes personal care and everyday-task assistance, accompanying clients on errands and appointments, participating in community integration activities, and spending time on clients’ preferred hobbies and activities. Requirements

At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities; training may be available through the apprentice program for candidates without this experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including dressing and grooming.
Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
Spend time participating in clients’ favorite hobbies and activities.
Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
Participate in community integration activities.
