Special Needs Caregiver
About The Position
24 Hour Home Care is hiring an empathetic and attentive caregiver to provide non-medical, in-home care to children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs). The caregiver follows individualized client care plans and provides periodic progress updates to the care team. Services may include personal care such as bathing, showering, and toileting assistance; meal preparation; companionship; medication reminders; and light housekeeping. Pay is set by assignment and may vary based on client location and services required. The posting states an expected California pay rate of $16.90–$20 per hour for current assignments.
Requirements
- Great communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Two references; at least one must be able to confirm disability-related experience.
- Proof of negative TB results.
- Adult, Child, and Infant CPR and First Aid certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to travel to different cities is highly desired.
Responsibilities
