About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Special Needs Caregivers / Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and surrounding communities. The role helps clients build independence, achieve personal goals, and participate in their homes and communities. BAYADA provides training and support for both experienced caregivers and people beginning their careers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Compassionate, reliable, and motivated.
• Experience supporting individuals with special needs or intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with clients through companionship and engagement.
• Assist clients with daily routines and life-skills development.
• Support clients' participation in hobbies, recreation, and community activities.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and outings.
• Encourage clients' independence, confidence, and social connections.
• Provide light meal preparation and household assistance as needed.
