About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with an Illinois school district to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an elementary resource room serving students in grades 3–5. This full-year assignment focuses on providing targeted academic support, tailoring instruction to individual abilities, and helping students build the confidence and skills to thrive in school. The teacher delivers individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ learning needs and IEP goals, adapts materials, monitors progress, and collaborates with the school team and families.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Strong teaching, classroom management, and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and school personnel.
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a school-based special education setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.
Assess student performance and adjust teaching strategies to promote academic growth.
Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress with the school team.
Reinforce grade-level concepts and adapt instructional materials to support diverse learners.
Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with students’ learning needs and IEP goals.
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
