About The Position
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is working with an Illinois school district to hire an elementary resource room educator for students in grades 3–5. The teacher will provide personalized instruction that addresses students’ individual strengths, needs, and educational objectives, helping them develop foundational academic skills and apply learning throughout the school day. The role includes targeted instruction, ongoing progress monitoring, and collaboration with classroom teachers, families, and related-service professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
- Understanding of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and differentiated teaching practices.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

- Previous experience in a school-based special education setting.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to IEP development, meetings, and ongoing student planning.
- Design and adapt lessons to make grade-level content more accessible.
- Track student achievement and complete required educational documentation.
- Identify learning gaps and adjust instructional approaches to encourage progress.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP objectives.
- Coordinate with classroom teachers, families, and related-service professionals to support consistent learning strategies.
