About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is working with an Illinois school district to hire a resource room educator serving students in grades 3–5. The teacher will create purposeful learning experiences that address students’ individual strengths, needs, and educational objectives. Through targeted instruction and ongoing progress monitoring, the teacher will help students build foundational academic skills and apply what they learn throughout the school day.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the appropriate Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement.
• Understanding of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and differentiated teaching practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a school-based special education setting.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to IEP development, meetings, and ongoing student planning.
• Design and adapt lessons to make grade-level content more accessible.
• Track student achievement and complete required educational documentation.
• Identify learning gaps and adjust instructional approaches to encourage progress.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction based on student needs and IEP objectives.
• Coordinate with classroom teachers, families, and related-service professionals to support consistent learning strategies.
