About The Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with an Illinois school district to hire a full-time Special Education Teacher for the current school year. The position is in an elementary resource room serving students in grades 3 through 5. The teacher will provide individualized and small-group instruction, adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs, and support students in reaching their academic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Special Education endorsement (LBS1) covering grades 3–5.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Organizational talent.
• Collaborative mindset.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working within a school-based special education program is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction in a resource room, focusing on goals outlined in student IEPs.
• Modify general education materials and use accessible teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
• Use student data and performance metrics to evaluate progress, refine instruction, and maintain educational records.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to support students.
• Contribute to IEP meetings and communicate transparently about student development.
