T 26/27 - SPECIAL ED TEACHER (Oakridge)
About The Position
Arlington Public Schools is hiring a Special Ed Teacher for a 1.0 FTE position at Oakridge Elementary School. The teacher implements instructional programs suited to students’ needs, interests, and abilities, maintains a safe and orderly environment, communicates with parents and guardians, and maintains accurate student records. The role also involves collaboration with administrators, teachers, instructional assistants, families, and community members; monitoring and assessing student achievement; and participating in professional learning and meetings. Applicants must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure and have a Special Education endorsement. Teaching experience in special education, knowledge of effective instructional practices, the ability to integrate technology, and experience in educational and instructional leadership are listed as experience qualifications. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or another content area is preferred but not required. Salary is based on the FY2026–27 salary schedule, with a T-Scale range of $56,458–$144,723.
Requirements
