Special Education Teacher (26/27 SY)
About The Position
Hiring qualified Certified Special Education Teachers within a 60-mile radius of the greater Phoenix area of Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year. Resource and self-contained teacher positions are available. The role follows the school/district calendar, with no work required during school breaks. This is a school-year contract with a high probability of extension into subsequent years. Teachers collaborate with mentor and master teachers on lesson planning, support the design and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), use formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress, and demonstrate accurate subject-matter knowledge across subjects taught, including connections to other content areas. The stated pay is $50–$52 per hour. Medical, dental, and vision benefits start within 30 days; 401(k) and flexible spending are also available. Weekly direct deposit is provided.
Requirements
- Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate.
- At least 1 year of experience.
- Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mentor and master teachers on lesson planning.
- Assist in designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) through diagnostic teaching, instructional adaptations, and individual behavior-management techniques.
- Use formal and informal assessments to monitor student progress.
- Demonstrate accurate content knowledge of all subjects taught, including integration and connections to other content areas.
