About The Position
CUSD 303 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute (LTS) Elementary Special Education Resource Teacher for the RISE program at Norton Creek Elementary School. The approximate assignment dates are March 3, 2027, through May 31, 2027. The long-term substitute rate is $220 per day. Applicants must have an LBS1 endorsement and meet the district’s substitute-team licensing requirements. In addition to the online application, candidates must provide a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB), two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE. Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses are not accepted by District 303. Additional details are available in the Substitute Handbook on the District 303 website.
Requirements
- LBS1 endorsement.
- A valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL) or Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB).
- An Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- Provide two letters of reference.
- Provide a fingerprint-based background check from the Kane County ROE.
- Short Term Substitute Teaching Licenses are not accepted by District 303.
